We learned early on that fun and fundraising go hand in hand. Our annual fundraising dinner party has grown from 30 close friends and family, raising $5,000, to 240 people who helped us raise more than $150,000 in 2018. The growth has shown us just how much people want to help families and find a cure for cancer. So, we’ve created even more events.
Amber’s Antibodies now hosts three to four major fundraising events per year.
In January, we kick off the year with Sporting for a Cure. Guests don jeans and jerseys to our tailgate dinner party, located outside at the Club at Olde Cypress in Naples, and enjoy a raffle and live auction before The Not So Olympic Relay. The night features a 32+ team relay game-style tournament, similar to March Madness. A big thanks to Stock Development for helping us host this event each year.
Bourbon & Beer follows in May. This is event provides an opportunity to get to know our charity better while enjoying free craft beer and bourbon tastings.
In November or December, we host the Bad Santa Trolley Hop. Amber’s Antibodies Board Member Randy Smith, owner of Naples Transportation and Tours, provides four trolleys for a bar hop to three different bars. We encourage guests who come along for the ride to dress up in holiday attire and sing along to Christmas Carols.
